I wanted to share some of our family vacation photos. Our first family vacation of four and it was so much fun and easier than I expected. We had zero expectations of what this ‘new’ family vacation would look like with a 3-1/2 year old and 6 month old. A big age gap when it comes to fun in the sun and nap times. It was truly the best time we’ve ever had!
There’s 591 million photos in this post – warning! Also, this vacation was not sponsored, these opinions are truly our own! We love this place!
I wanted to quickly share the camera that I use and the lens. This has been the best camera for an amateur like me! It’s so easy to use and operate, I also think the lens is the biggest game changer. Anyways, below you can find the camera and lens. There’s several camera packages that you can purchase, which is what I did.

We are definitely creatures of habit. Another year, another family vacation at Omni Amelia Island Plantation.
As you might know, this was our forth family vacation at the plantation, however, my husband grew up vacationing in this very same spot with his family. It was a life goal of his to repeat those same memories with his very own family.
So here we are… again.

This vacay was a little different at Amelia Island. We had our sweet little gal, Olive Amelia and celebrating our daddy who turned 40! I should also mention that her middle name came from our love for Amelia Island.

Dare I say… “this is 40”! Well done, babe!
This was pretty much how we spent the entire trip. We stayed in a villa on the beach and although each villa has it’s own pool, we would venture off to the hotel pool on the property. We would pack up our beach wagon and walk along the beach, about a mile to the big pool… of course, fully equipped with mommy and daddy mimosas! We would stop and play in the ocean for a bit and keep walking.

Once we made it to the pool we would pretty much camp out there all day. It was honestly better than expected because Olive slept so well in her stroller. When she wasn’t napping, we’d hang out under the umbrellas, in the pool or at the splash pad.

Proud Daddy!
Henry loves the water, what kid doesn’t?! We kinda let him run the show and he wanted nothing more than to swim. No miniature golf, no boat rides, just the pool. Our trip was pretty simple!
Olive was a fan of the water too! 🙂
Highlight of the trip is when Tanner the Turtle makes his appearance everyday at 2pm and hands out lemon ices. Last year during our trip Henry got a stuffed Tanner the Turtle and he sleeps with him every single night.
Olive girl living her best life! She can nap in this stroller… I’m talking 2-3 hour naps poolside!

The best poolside fish tacos at lunch every.single.day! Also, the best blood orange margarita (not pictured – probably because I slurped that puppy down in 2.5 seconds)!
How dinners went down, lol! Still enjoyable… the Kids Fire is a lifesaver during late dinners. We ate later (well… later for kiddos 7:45pm/ 8:00) because they would nap back at the villa until around 5:30pm and then baths. There was one evening when we went into town for dinner at sat down to eat at 5:00pm!
She loves her sweet daddy!
I never want to forget these days with the kiddos! Bottling them all up because I know that in a blink of an eye, they’ll be more concerned with making vacation friends at the pool rather than playing with mommy and daddy!

My little fishy! So proud of this boy and how well he did swimming in the pool! He swam long and hard all.day.long! Can’t get over this pic, he looks so big!
There’s nothing cuter than a baby discovering the beach, sand, wind, birds for the very first time.
The path from our villa to the beach!
I know there will be lots of arguing in the future, but for now, this is about as sweet as it gets. He adores his little sister.
This is life… right here! This is what it’s all about… family! I love these people hard!
His happiness! I know this post probably sounds like the biggest cheese, but there’s something to be said for a family trip with just your little family! No interruptions, no work, just quality time together!
Poolside dance parties with Tanner the Turtle!

I can’t with this!!! 🙂 If you follow me on Instagram then I’m sure you’ve seen how much this little guy loves holding and carrying his sister around!
What little kiddo doesn’t love searching for the perfect seashell?!
She loves her brother more than anyone!
The only time we got dressed in real clothes was when we went to dinner, lol! Also, disregard that Henry’s sandals are too small… just pretend that’s not a #momfail!
This place is so beautiful, family friendly and if you’re in Charlotte – a short drive!
This picture melts my sappy mama heart!

We are always on the search for the best family vacation spot not far from Charlotte. This place looks awesome, however, I just checked out The Villas website and instantly got overwhelmed by all the accommodation options! Could you share how you picked which Villa and why…especially now that you have two kids with two schedules etc…one bedroom? two bedrooms? three bedrooms? closer to the pool? closer to the beach? What works for your family? HELP!!

Ok so I would like to be included in your family vacation next time. This looks so festive, fun AND dare I say it, relaxing (even though I know how travelling with kids goes). You have a beautiful family, mama 🙂
